Nach der großen Resonanz auf die letztjährige Britische Woche hat Lidl ein Einsehen und belohnt das lange Warten: Ab Donnerstag den 4. Juni 2009 gibt es wieder die Britischen Spezialitäten der Marke Hatherwood:

Kabeljau – Cod Fillets, Panierte Scampi, Seelachsfiletstücke mit Pommes – Fish & Chips, Rindfleischpastete – Steak Pie, Gebackene Bohnen – Baked Beans, Kartoffelwaffeln – Potato Waffles, Cheddarkäse – Vintage Reserve Cheddar Cheese, Englische Saucen – Mint Sauce / Mustard, Englische Würzsauce – Brown Sauce, Johannisbeersirup – High Juice Blackcurrant, Englische Marmelade – Marmalade / Jam, Schoko-Karamellecken – Luxury Caramel Shortcakes, Buttergebäck – Shortbread Rounds, Kartoffelchips – Hand Cooked Chips, Snackstangen – Salt and Vinegar Sticks

For my English speaking readers: It´s rather hard to find British products in Germany. Not everybody likes to shop food online and British stores can only be found in some of the bigger cities. So it´s really worth an article when once a year the Lidl discount stores have a “British week” with all these devotional objects for lovers of the British lifestyle. There are even some Germans who like Brown Sauce … not me, to be honest
